What is Wi-Fi calling?
Wi-Fi calling allows you to use a Wi-Fi network to make and receive phone calls, rather than using the traditional mobile network.
This benefits those in poor signal areas, such as rural villages, on trains, aeroplanes, within congested areas where wi-fi is provided, as you'll be able to harness the power of available Wi-Fi networks to stay connected.
It's not just calls that are supported though, you can also send and receive texts.
Wi-fi calling is available when you are in the UK, and may be available when you are travelling abroad, but this will be governed by the local network and internet provider. In certain business or secure wi-fi networks there may be security blocks on using wi-fi calling. Please refer the the owner of the wi-fi service.
